EMEC 2026 Zone Meetings (Board Elections)

EMEC's Chief Executive Officer oversees the day-to-day operations and administration of the Cooperative, and the Board of Directors is responsible for overall policy decisions and governance under which he leads. Board members are elected by the consumer-members of the Cooperative from among the communities served.

Our service area is divided into eleven zones. At zone elections, held every three years for each zone, the members from a zone elect their representative to the Board of Directors. The elections are staggered, so that three or four zones hold regular elections each year, rather than conduct all eleven elections in the same year.
