At the Business Meeting, which will start at 12:30 p.m., the assembled members will hear updates on the Cooperative’s progress, as well as outlines of the challenges ahead.
Prize drawings will take place throughout the business meeting. Most of the prizes are only available to those on hand for the business meeting. The two grand prizes of $500 cash, however, can be won by anyone checked in at the meeting, whether they take part in person or by proxy.
Express Check In Deadline 5PM July 20th 2023. As in past years, members are invited to take advantage of Express Check-In online or by mail. A cut-out form was mailed to all members as part of the June bill insert. Members can also use Express Check-In online at this link: www.emec.com/express
Express Check-in saves participating members time, because Co-op employees can confirm memberships and assemble welcome packets before the meeting day. Express Check-ins are also an early sign of how many people plan to attend, and the Co-op may use this information to adjust the estimated numbers of meals and seats needed.
On the day of the Annual Meeting, those who have used Express Check-In can simply stop by the Express Check-In table and receive pre-assembled packets, which include meal tickets, welcome gifts, and entry in the prize drawings.
Members using Express Check-In will automatically be entered in a special prize drawing for a $100 account credit. Only those whose arrival is confirmed on the meeting day will be entered in the drawing.
Members unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person can still qualify for the two $500 Cash grand prize drawings, by sending a properly completed proxy. Blank proxy forms will be mailed to all Co-op members ten days before the meeting.
