Early-morning Outage Planned August 14th: 12:01 am - 5:00 a.m.

Eastern Maine Electric has scheduled an early morning power outage Thursday, August 14, from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., affecting a wide area that includes the following towns and partial towns:

Baring, Baileyville, Cathance, Charlotte, Cooper, Marion, Meddybemps, and Pembroke. In Alexander, the outage will affect members on Route 9, from the Cooper Road east to Route 1, not including the Cooper Road itself.

This outage will be preceded by two half-hour late-morning outages affecting the same area at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11th and at 11: 00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12th. These necessary planned outages will allow co-op linemen to replace the substation transformer at the Woodland substation.
Baring, Baileyville, Cathance, Charlotte, Cooper, Marion, Meddybemps, and Pembroke. In Alexander, the outage will affect members on Route 9, from the Cooper Road east to Route 1, not including the Cooper Road itself.

Planned outages are necessary from time to time, but we try to minimize the impact on our members, which is why linemen will be doing this work before most people wake up.  For more information, check our website at E-M-E-C-Dot-Com.
