On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Zone 7 voters elected Bart F. Chandler to represent them on Eastern Maine Electric's board of directors. The voting was close at the election, held at the Topsfield Town Office from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with the following results:

Bart F. Chandler:              17
John W. Larkin:                16
Michel V. Paczesny            1

This was the last board election of 2025, which also  saw elections in Zone 5 (Baileyville), Zone 6 (Princeton), and Zone 10 (Houlton). A special election will be held in 2026 for Zone 10, because that election did not attain quorum this year. The incumbent director in that zone will continue until a quorum is reached.
