Eastern Maine Electric has scheduled an early morning power outage Wednesday November 20th, from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., affecting a wide area that includes the following towns and partial towns:

• Baileyville
• Baring
• Cathance
• Charlotte
• Coope
• Marion
• Meddybemps
• Pembroke
• In Alexander, the outage will affect members on Route 9, from the Cooper Road east to Route 1, not including the Cooper Road itself

The outage will allow linemen to safely install raptor protection equipment at the substation. The rain date for this outage will be the following early morning, Thursday, November 21st, from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Planned outages are necessary from time to time, but we try to minimize the impact on our members, which is why linemen will be doing this work before most people wake up.
