Temporary COVID-19 Precautions

(Updated March 18, 2020)

Eastern Maine Electric Co-op is taking temporary new measures to protect the health and safety of our members and employees, as well as to avoid disruptions. In support of efforts to “flatten the curve” with regard to the COVID-19 infection rate, the Co-op has taken the  step of closing its lobby to the public.

The employees are continuing to work the same schedules as in the past. Eastern Maine Electric still available by phone 24 hours a day for outage calls. For non-emergency service calls or account-related calls, Co-op employees are available during regular office hours. In addition, members can manage and pay their electric accounts online at E-M-E-C-DOT-COM twenty-four hours a day.

To find out more about the variety of contact and payment options available, call Eastern Maine Electric at 800-696-7444 or visit us online at www.emec.com/options. The purpose of these temporary precautions is to avoid disruptions, and we look forward to the day this new challenge is behind the people of Northern and Eastern Maine.
